This policy explains how Atlanta Publishing House LLC processes personal data through this publisher website, its subscriber services, and publisher-operated editorial and publishing systems.
We collect and process personal data, including names, email addresses, institutional affiliations, and other information provided during submission or registration, only to the extent necessary to operate the editorial and publishing process. This includes manuscript submission, peer review, editorial management, publication, and correspondence with authors, reviewers, editors, and other participants in the publication workflow.
This website may record limited technical information for security, service reliability, and aggregate visitor statistics. Such information may include IP address, approximate country derived from IP-based geolocation, request date and time, requested page, browser user agent, and basic request metadata. Visitor statistics shown publicly are aggregated at country level and do not display individual IP addresses or personally identifiable visitor records.
Raw visitor logs, where enabled, are retained only for a limited period for security review, troubleshooting, and statistical rollup. After rollup, aggregate country-level visitor counts may be retained for monthly, yearly, and cumulative reporting. These aggregate statistics are not used for advertising profiling and are not sold to third parties.
When a user registers for updates, we collect the information submitted through the registration form, including first name, last name, email address, country, institutional affiliation, and any selected institutional identifier. A confirmation email is sent to verify the subscription request. Unconfirmed registrations are automatically removed after the confirmation period expires, normally within 24 hours.
Confirmed subscriber data are used only to send journal news, issue announcements, calls for papers, policy updates, and related publisher communications. Subscribers may request removal from the mailing list by contacting the publisher or by using any unsubscribe mechanism provided in email communications.
The optional institutional-affiliation search on the Register for Updates form uses the external Research Organization Registry (ROR) API. When a visitor types an institutional search term, the visitor's browser sends that search term directly to the ROR service. As with a normal request to an external website, ROR may receive limited technical request data such as the visitor's IP address, browser user agent, request time, and the search term under ROR's own service and privacy practices.
The publisher does not send the visitor's name, email address, selected country, or completed registration data to ROR as part of this lookup. Selecting a ROR record is optional; visitors may enter an institutional affiliation manually if they do not wish to use the external lookup. The ROR request is used only to help identify institutional affiliations and is not used by the publisher for advertising or behavioral tracking.
Where applicable, personal data are processed in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Data subjects may request access to, rectification of, restriction of processing of, or deletion of their personal data by contacting Atlanta Publishing House LLC at info@atlantapublishinghouse.com.
This website uses only essential cookies that are necessary for basic site functionality, security, and user session management. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, behavioral tracking cookies, or similar technologies for marketing purposes.
Personal data submitted through the editorial and publishing systems are retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and archival obligations. Such data are not sold and are not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
