Guidelines covering peer-review responsibilities, ethical expectations, confidentiality, conflict-of-interest disclosure, and reviewer recognition.
Reviewers should assess the originality, methodological soundness, scientific validity, clarity of presentation, and overall contribution of a manuscript. Review reports should provide specific, constructive, and evidence-based comments that assist both the editor in reaching an informed decision and the authors in improving the quality of the manuscript.
Reviewers must treat manuscripts and all associated review materials as confidential documents, refrain from using unpublished information for personal, professional, or commercial advantage, disclose any actual or potential conflicts of interest, and decline a review invitation whenever their objectivity, impartiality, or expertise may be insufficient for a fair evaluation.
We value the time and expertise that reviewers contribute to the scholarly process and, where reviewers choose to participate, may acknowledge their service through annual reviewer listings, certificates of contribution, or recognized peer-review credit services.
