General guidance for prospective authors regarding manuscript preparation, submission requirements, ethical standards, and publication policies for European Journal of Chemistry.
We welcome submissions that fall within the journal's stated scope and that have not been previously published or submitted elsewhere. Before submitting a manuscript, authors should review the following policies:
Publication Ethics policy, including authorship criteria, research integrity standards, and conflict-of-interest disclosure requirements.
Open Access Policy, covering licensing terms, copyright, self-archiving rights, and any applicable article processing charges.
Screening Policy, describing similarity screening and other pre-review assessments applied to all submissions, with additional AI-assisted content review where applicable.
2Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the journal’s formatting requirements and should include all required elements, such as the title page, abstract, keywords, main text, references, figures, tables, and any supplementary material. Authors are encouraged to use the journal’s official template where available.
3Ethical Requirements
Authors must comply with the journal’s Publication Ethics policy, including requirements related to authorship, originality, plagiarism, conflict-of-interest disclosure, ethical approval for human or animal studies, and responsible use of AI-assisted tools. All required ethical statements should be included in the manuscript at the time of submission.
4Data and Supplementary Material
Authors should provide all data necessary to support the results and conclusions of the study. Supplementary files may include raw data, spectra, chromatograms, crystallographic information files (CIFs), computational output, extended tables, figures, and additional methodological details. Where data are deposited in a public repository, the repository name and access information should be included in the manuscript.
5Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors should register an account, complete all required metadata fields, upload the manuscript and supporting files, and confirm compliance with the journal’s ethical and publication policies. Following submission, the manuscript undergoes initial screening before entering peer review.
Detailed submission instructions — including manuscript templates, formatting requirements, and access to the online submission portal, are maintained on the journal’s official website at https://www.eurjchem.com/.
